STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

The overall objective of our research is the study of the molecular mechanisms whereby the cannabinoid receptors act in the brain, as well as the validity of these receptors as therapeutic targets in neurodegeneration, neurorepair and neuro-oncology. Our work enables the characterisation of new mechanisms of action and cannabinoid receptor-mediated effects, and the identification of new physiopathological implications derived therein.

RESEARCH LINES

  • Neurogenesis and neurorepair by cannabinoid receptors.
  • Neuroprotection by cannabinoid receptors.
