The Cell Culture Service offers research personnel the possibility of culturing all types of animal cells, both primary cultures and established cell lines. The infrastructure and equipment it is equipped with, as well as the maintenance and supervision for its correct operation, allows users to carry out the different techniques for the development of studies that require the use of cell cultures. It also provides technical support to groups that need advice on how to handle the cells.

  • Equipment
    • Two type II biological safety laminar flow cabinets (TELSTAR BIOII-A) and one MARS120 biosafety cabinet.
    • Six horizontal laminar flow cabinets for cell culture (TELSTAR AV-30/70).
    • Three horizontal laminar flow cabinets for tissue dissection and subsequent establishment of primary cultures (TELSTAR-SAH100).
    • Eight double cell culture incubators with controlled temperature and CO2 pressure.
    • Seahorse XFp extracellular flow analyser (Agilent).  Three surgical microscopes (Carl Zeiss Jena 212T OPM) and a Leica inverted optical microscope.
    • Two centrifuges (eppendorf 5810R) and one Sirena refrigerated centrifuge.
    • Olympus Ix70 inverted microscope associated with an epifluorescence unit (Olympus U-RFL-T) with the possibility of capturing and storing images (Camera: Digital Sight).
    • Nikon Camera Control Unit (DS-Fi3).
    • Hettichtz MIKRO microcentrifuges.
