Aplicaciones quirúrgicas de sistemas de liberación de fármacos
El presente grupo está compuesto por un equipo multidisciplinar lo que permite abarcar distintas áreas de interés enfocado a la cirugía experimental y traslacional. El grupo de investigación está centrado en el desarrollo de dispositivos biodegradables liberadores de fármaco a través de matrices poliméricas, lo que permite la instilación de fármacos de forma local, permitiendo una mayor precisión y reducción en la dosis del principio activo. Otra importante actividad investigadora tiene su foco en el desarrollo de dispositivos cardíacos, principalmente en el diseño de un ventrículo implantable definitivo artificial. La actividad del grupo se centra en los proyectos de investigación que están implementando en estas dos actividades de investigación.
