Strategic objectives

Generation and validation of useful tools for the diagnosis, prognosis, stratification and treatment of patients in various pathologies, including AI tools, with the effective incorporation of patients.

Research lines

  • Study of mechanisms mediated by non-coding RNAs involved in the development and progression of renal cell carcinoma, as well as its response to treatment.
  • Characterization of miRNAs involved in the development of colorectal cancer as novel biomarkers useful for diagnosis and treatment response with radiotherapy.
  • Study of mechanisms involved in the development and progression of pancreatic cancer.
  • Implementation in clinical practice of serum miRNAs as novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets in pathologies of the cardiorenal axis.
  • Studies in rare renal and vascular diseases: focal segmental glomerulonephritis, vasculitis, hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
  • Drug repurposing in rare diseases.
  • Development and validation of multimodal omics biomarkers and artificial intelligence tools for tumor management.
  • Studies on improving quality of life through telemedicine.
