Biología y Evolución de Microorganismos

El Grupo Biología y Evolución de Microorganismos cuyo responsable es el Dr. Rafael Cantón y que está integrado por nueve investigadores principales más así como por numerosos investigadores pre y postdoctorales, técnicos y otro personal asistencial, ha participado en los últimos 5 años en 17 proyectos nacionales e internacionales de investigación y en 15 contratos con compañías farmacéuticas o dedicadas al diagnóstico in vitro. Durante este periodo de tiempo este trabajo se ha traducido en más de 190 publicaciones en revistas nacionales e internacionales de alto índice de impacto y más de 11 tesis doctorales. Asimismo, se han presentado más de 400 comunicaciones en numerosos congresos nacionales e internacionales. Y todo ello buscando siempre la máxima excelencia en el campo de la biología poblacional, la resistencia a antibióticos, la infección respiratoria, la microbiota, la metagenómica y el VIH.
