Computer-assisted simulation and personalised surgery
Multidisciplinary group internationally recognized as a reference in the field of personalized surgery as well as computer assisted surgery especially dedicated to the cranio-maxillofacial region. Experts in the use of intraoperative imaging and 3D printing with special interest in translational research concerning the application of artificial intelligence technology in these areas.

- DTS Project (Technological Development in Health, Carlos III Institute) awarded to the study "Intraoperative Verification Tool based on Artificial Intelligence for Maxillofacial Surgery procedures". DTS24/00173.2024.
- Participation in the project "TECHCONNECT: ASSESSING AND STRENGTHENING HUMAN-TECH SKILL COMPLEMENTARITY IN THE DIGITAL LANDSCAPE", led by the "Biomedical data science and engineering" group (area 4 of IRYCIS), funded in the HORIZON-CL2-2024-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-11 call by the European Union. 101177251
- Development of an algorithm for the early detection of oral cancer in collaboration with UCA-Data Science. Initiative that is expected to give rise to a new product to support the early diagnosis of this cancer thanks to the support of the MISIÓN IRYCIS 2030 program.
- Project: "Impact of intraoperative navigation on surgical margins in locally advanced malignant tumors of the middle third of the face: correlation with the immunoinflammatory response as a therapeutic target and prognosis", funded by the "XX Grants for Health Research" of the Mutua Madrileña Foundation.
