Success in competitive HR calls for proposals. In 2023, 1 researcher 'María Zambrano', 1 'Talent Attraction' and 1 'Juan de la Cierva in training' joined the group.
Every year more and more researchers from the group have national competitive projects as PI.
Three PhD students successfully defended their thesis: 1) Optical rotation of luminescent microparticles for remote sensing and manipulation; 2) Nanoparticles for cardiovascular molecular imaging by optical coherence tomography: Influence of functionalization and temperature; 3) Nanoparticles doped with rare earths for biological and sensing applications.
Dr. José García Solé has received the prestigious International Conference of Luminescence award in recognition of his applications to understanding luminescence, diffusion and photonic applications of luminescent materials.
