Milestones
- Launch of the European project: "Anticancer approach based on the metabolic disruption of cancer stem cells with high effectiveness across (MEDiCS)," funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) under the Horizon Europe program and led by Dr. Bruno Sainz. This innovative therapeutic strategy targets the metabolism of cancer stem cells, aiming to facilitate the translation of preclinical results into clinical practice for highly aggressive and therapeutically resistant tumors.

- Launch of the European project "TRANSCAN3 - Reversing Epitranscriptomic Alterations for Chemosensitization of Pancreatic Cancer (REACH)" funded by the ISCIII and the AECC and coordinated by Dr. Bruno Sainz at IRYCIS. Based on the targeted modulation of m6A modifications in tumor cells and cancer stem cells, with the aim of reprogramming the tumor transcriptional landscape and improving therapeutic options for this highly aggressive neoplasm.

- Grant of the European Project "TRANSCAN3 - Functional precision medicine platform for the treatment of pancreatic cancer (ACCELERATE)" funded by the ISCIII and the AECC and led by Dr. Julie Earl. Focused on the development of a functional precision medicine platform for pancreatic cancer, based on the generation of tumor organoids from patient biopsies to rapidly evaluate the response to different drugs and identify personalized therapeutic combinations with high clinical applicability.
